Surgery Party

Left to Right: Bryan Pate, Jason Roberts, Me, John Shelley, Jim Ferry, Geoff Ulman
Not shown: Kevin Abbott, Aaron Shelley, Blake Luce

My surgery, or as I like to think of it, the intervention for my second favorite knee, is Tuesday morning,.  The last time I was in the hospital, the drugs my second favorite knee was on caused me to faint.  The only damage was a slightly bruised favorite knee, so I think it is time for an intervention.

In "celebration" of surgery, CW planned a get together of friends and family to play board games.  She made tons of food, and then she took the kids with her to a friend's house to stay.  What an awesome CW!  We also had neighbors and friends come over on Saturday night to watch the NCAA Final Four and Zombieland.

Jim Ferry was charged with declaring an overall winner for the weekend, and Summer declared that the winner would get to design my toenails on my cancer leg.  Jason Roberts won the title when he beat me handily at the hours-long, space epic game, Eclipse.  He chose "PWND By JR" with pink heart flourishes.  It was good to see friends and family and forget (mostly) about being cut upon tomorrow.
